Simple Arch (SA)

The ridges passed across the finger which tend to rise at the center of the pattern, forming a low hill.
Tented Arch (TA)

Similar to Simple Arch but there is a sharp elevation of the ridges, forming the tent
Ulnar Loop (UL)

The ridges enter from ulnar side of the hand (little finger), recurving, and exiting from the same side This caused the loop pattern to slope towards the little finger
Radial Loop (RL)

The ridges enter from radial side of the hand (thumb), recurving, and exiting from the same side This caused the loop pattern to slope towards the thumb.
Concentric Whorl (CW)

Composed of concentric ridges around a single centre forming a circular pattern.
Spiral Whorl (SW)

Ridges are spirally arranged and twining either in clockwise or anticlockwise direction, forming a circular pattern.
Pressed Whorl (PW)

Elongated concentric whorl pattern.
ComPosite Whorl (CPW)

There are two separate and distinct patterns of ridges, twining out 360o from the centre of the fingerprint.
Peacock Eye (PE)

Pattern resembles the Peacock Feather or having the \"lollipop\" effect. The centre of the eye is a complete circle and all the recurving ridges will join to form a single line.
Double Loop (DL)

Two loops that are separate and apart combined into one fingerprint pattern, One of these loops will be standing while the other one will be hanging over the standing loop. The two loops originate from the same side of the pattern.
